Cold Steel Sure Strike Throwing Stars

Today I am going to be briefly reviewing the Cold Steel Sure Strike Throwing Stars. They come in 3 different weights: light, medium, and heavy. Here are some specs of the different weights:

                    Weight:      Thickness:
Light:            2.8 oz             2mm
Medium:       4.2 oz             4mm
Heavy:          6.4 oz              6mm

These are really some good throwing stars. I have tried other brands with more points and more far-out designs, but the Cold Steel Sure Strike's are my favorite. They stick almost every time and require almost no training to learn how to throw. These are much easier to throw than most throwing knives and they look cooler. I strongly recommend these and I will post some links where you can find these.

I have posted a video that Cold Steel does on these throwing stars on my home page. Check it out to see how these stars do in action.

Check back tomorrow for another installment of Outdoor Product of the Day!

Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport

Today we are going to be looking at the Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport. This gun is a very good choice for people who don't want to spend too much on an AR 15. This gun goes for around $699 or lower depending on where you purchase it from.

Here are some brief specs of the rifle:

Caliber: 5.56 NATO/.223
Capacity: 30 Round Magazine
Barell: Chrome Lined
Barrel Length: 16"
Barrel Twist: 1 in 9"
Front Sight: A2 Adjustable Post
Rear Sight: MagPul Folding MBUS
Weight: 6.45 lb
Stock: 6 Position Telescopic
Receiver: Aluminum

This is a very good starters AR 15. I actually own this gun and like it a lot. It is my first AR 15 and is perfectly fine for what I am doing with it. I mainly just target shoot with it and plan to do a little hunting as well. I highly recommend this gun, and for $700, it is hard to beat.
